.: PensFans Hockey League

The PensFans Hockey League (PFHL) is a fantasy hockey keeper league. We play during the regular season, keeping track of players and stats. At the end of the season, we keep a certain number of our players for next year, and strengthen our rosters through the draft. This allows us to play fantasy hockey year after year with a good group of people, while trying to build a dynasty.

.: Penguins Signings

The following players have been signed by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2008 Offseason:

From left to right:
Janne Pesonen - Nicknamed "Pesos", Janne was the leading scorer in the Finnish Elite League. He is a left-winger who the Penguins management hopes will eventually earn a spot on a scoring line with Sidney Crosby or Evgeni Malkin.

Miroslav Satan - A pure shooter, Satan has averaged 29 goals/season over his 12-season career in the NHL. These are impressive numbers, which he has attained without playing alongside an elite playmaker like #87. Despite the abysmal performance of the New York Islanders, he's still been able to post 35, 27, and 16-goal seasons.

Ruslan Fedotenko - An important part of the Tampa Bay Lightning's success in the Stanley Cup only years ago, Fedotenko has since been buried in the offensive black hole that is the New York Islanders. Known for his streaky play, can Fedotenko bring enough grit on the ice to open up space for the Penguins' young stars?

Matt Cooke - Acquired by the Washinton Capitals at the trade deadline, this gritty forward is known for his physical play. With the departure of Ryan Malone, Gary Roberts, Jarkko Ruutu, and Georges Laraque, the Penguins needed grit. And they got it with the arrival of Cooke and his 198 hits from the 2007-2008 season.
